A very unusual antique Senneh Rug vagireh, West Persia
The soft ivory field with bold stylised arabesques, angular vine and ribbon. In charcoal-black border. Outer plain stripe. This is a great vagireh (sampler) from Senneh weaving. Design is beautifully drawn with very good colour combination. This rug has full pile, soft wool quality. Ends and selvages original. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Very attractive piece.
