Textile Description
This is an antique Turkish textile woven during the end of the 19th century circa 1880 -1900 and measures 124 x 83CM in size. it has a center medallion motif set on a beige background color surrounded by repeating star motifs within the field. its corner medallions are created with a blossoming shrub design which are blossoming grapes. the borders design follows the same theme of the field with grape motifs interconnected with a vine design accompanied with blossoming flowers. This textile is in overall good condition with some areas of wear that are consistent with its age.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
