Rug Description

This is an antique Donegal carpet woven in Ireland during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1920’s and measures 354 x 245CM in size. it wasn’t all over field design with five columns of alternating small scale medallion motifs set on a pink background color. the border has a classical European design that creates a frame around the rug and is set on an ivory background color. This carpet is in overall perfect condition retaining all of its original full pile and has been professionally washed.


At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
