Antique Persian Heriz Carpet, ca 1880. Heriz carpets are known throughout the world for their versatility in living both in a classic and modern environment and for their quality and robustness. In this antique Persian Heriz, we can celebrate the decorative composition, typical of carpets made in this area at the end of the 19th century. In this antique Heriz carpet with a red background, the design develops into an intricate lattice of floral shoot motifs which are interrupted only chromatically by the medallion on a midnight blue background and by the corners on an ivory background. The design is very dense and well assorted stylistically and chromatically. The border on a midnight blue background bears a very large rounded herati motif, almost as if to interrupt the rigidity of the background design. The large proportions allow it to be placed under a large dining table or meeting table, in a living area in front of the sofas or in an area to be enhanced with an excellent antique Persian carpet. Professionally washed, this antique Heriz carpet is in excellent condition, ready to embellish any environment with taste and elegance.
