Rug Description
An antique North-west Persian narrow kelleh
Size, approx: 537cm. x 170
The field with vertical flowering r vine stripes together with five large linked shaded rust medallions, each containing hooked palmette. Rust floral spandrels. In sandy-beige and abrashed blue triple border of angular floral vine between barber-pole stripes. Very unusual design for this type.
Very well balanced colours, bold appearance. This narrow kelleh has good pile. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured.
In general this piece is in very good usable condition. Attractive and great furnishing piece.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
