Antique Persian Kashan Dabir All-Over Carpet, ca 1900. Among the most famous carpets in Persia in the 20th century, and particularly in Kashan, we find the manufactures attributed to the “atelier” workshop of Dabir Sanayeh. The Kashan Dabir carpets are real “pearls” among those made in Kashan, all easily distinguishable from each other. In this Kashan “Dabir” with an all-over design with medallions in succession, fully represents the creative flair of this famous Persian “designer”. The design of this Kashan Dabir from the early 1900s develops on an ivory background. Elaborate medallions and “bouquets” give life to a “symphony” of colors and patterns that widely define its elegance after over a century of life. The floral borders are interrupted by delightful cartouches with faunal motifs. A large rug, created to suit elegant and luxurious environments. This antique Kashan Dabir has cork persian wool, soft and compact; the fine knotting determines further sturdiness and resistance to trampling. A truly gentleman’s antique rug!
