Antique Caucasian Karabak Rug. XIX Century. A stunning antique Caucasian Karabak carpet with an all-over Herati motif design that fully embodies the classic style transmitted under Persian influence. The background of this antique Karabak carpet is finely adorned with the herati motif in a very sophisticated play of colours: olive green, ash blue, saturated red, abrash, giving grace and lightness to the majesty of the artefact. The borders of this exceptional antiquet Caucasian Karabak carpet are very interesting from the point of view of graphic processing. The alternation of the toothed leaf motifs with the “tortoise” motifs, the Karabagh stars and the style of the herati border with leaves and palmette in the center is very pleasant. The state of conservation of this antique Caucasian Karabak carpet is excellent, the structure is solid and well preserved.
