Rug Description

Semi-Antique Persian Kashan Dabir Rug, 1940 ca. A semi-antique Kashan carpet with an all-over design on an ivory background, natural wool colour. The background is dominated by an imposing portal supported by two pillars culminating in an elaborate “palmette” with clear profiles perfectly combined chromatically, alternating brick red, midnight blue, green and a persuasive powder blue color. This portal is surrounded by oak leaf motifs forming an arch, a sort of niche, with large empty spaces in the background. Despite the imposing scenic presence of this portal, the visual effect, obtained thanks to the leafy branches, is truly light and harmonious. The main border in powder blue color enhances the decorative aspect on the one hand, and on the other, contributes to softening the graphic rigidity of the background. A semi-antique Kashan carpet, of fine quality and with a clear and unusual design, ready to embellish your environment.
