Rug Description
This is an Ersari Main carpet that was woven by one of the largest groups of the Turkmen tribe circa 1880. It has been woven on a 100% wool foundation with all wool pile. The design of the rug is made of 3 columns of 10 Ersari gul’s or also known as an elephant’s foot motif. A special motif that is rarely seen in Ersari carpets is the camel, but this weaver has added two camels into the drawing and it gives the carpet personality and it distinguishes it from other carpets woven by the Ersari tribe. This main carpet is in great condition and has been professional cleaned, so it is ready to be added to any home.
