This is a Peking rug from northeast China and it was woven circa 1900. The design of this rug is highly minimalist as the field does not have any design; it only has an art deco stylized border. This rug is in full pile condition which makes it a rare example of Peking weaving. It has been cleaned and is ready to be used in a modern and traditional setting.
