Textile Description
A pair of fine antique Chinese silk textile long panels.
Size, approx: each 393cm. x 64cm.
Each textile piece with soft light terracotta field with human figures, dragons, peacocks, animal figures and floral sprays. Light border panels, one with open lattice and Buddhist motifs outer one with shell motifs and stylised cloud bands.
Very nice design with accurate drawing of motifs and well balanced colours. Part of design has mother of pearl in motifs. Selvages secured. Both panels at o r end with lattice fringes. In general, very good usable condition. Unusual and seldom found type on the market. Very attractive.
