The soft light beige field with polychrome palmettes, floral and leafy vine around double floral and arabesque central roundel. Palmette and arabesque spandrels. In light beige palmettes and scrolling arabesque border between floral and barber-pole stripes. Very well drawn design soft pastel colours. This rug has full pile, aloft and lustrous wool quality and part silk. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. Fine and tight weave. In general this rug is in very good condition throughout. Very good finishing piece. Attractive.
