Rug Description

This is an antique Peking rug woven in eastern China during the end of the 19th century circa 1880. The size of this rug is known as a Kalleh which was used primarily for extremely wide and long pathways within homes or palaces. This example has an extremely unique open field design made up of a light shade of what is known as camel hair color, And the border is comprised of a simple, yet elegant geometric design colored in a few shades lighter than the field. This is an overall unique rug due to the rare color combination, and simplistic design giving it an extremely elegant look making this rug extremely desirable by carpet enthusiasts and designers alike. this rug is in Nearly perfect full pile condition and has been professionally washed.
