Rug Description

This is a Peking carpet from China woven circa 1900.  The design is of a mountain tiger roaming in the mountains and in the background there is a small village within the mountains. The symbol of the tiger in the Chinese culture show great power and they are the protector of human life. This rug has been woven on a cotton foundation with 100% wool pile. It is in perfect condition and is ready to be used and enjoyed for many years.
