Rug Description

This is an antique Melas rug woven in Turkey during the end of the 19th century and measures 118 x 80CM in size. Its field is comprised of two large-scale medallions set on a red background color. The border is made up of a geometric abstract design set on the same red background color. This piece has been preserved in overall good condition and is made using 100% natural vegetable dyes. The abstract geometric design of this rug makes it extremely attractive and highly decorative. It has been recently professionally washed making it ready to be added to any tribal rug collection or to be used in any modern or traditional setting.
