Description
This is an antique Turkish Megri rug woven in southwest Anatolia during the mid-19th century and measures 170 x 107 CM in size. This rugs center medallion has been split into two columns with repeating medallions and protruding floral motifs. its border is comprised of polychrome enter locking “Z” Motifs set on a white background color creating color contrast against the darker colored field. This piece has been preserved in overall excellent condition and has been woven on an all-wool foundation and uses 100% natural vegetable dyes. This piece would make a great addition to any tribal rug collection or added to any home to give a unique and colorful aspect to it.
