This small antique silk Kashan has a very interesting format, it is not a standard format, it was therefore designed by the master knotter for order of colours, decoration and proportions. The field of the antique pink carpet, filled with floral motifs, is dominated by a central medallion in “olive green”, the color that also fills the main border. On the border, small “medacyls” run incredibly precise and detailed. The design of these carpets is decidedly more “airy” than many Persian carpets with a much more dense design, allowing you to appreciate every single detail, both on the borders and in the background at the corners of which small counter-edges are arranged on a blue background.
