An antique very long Karabagh runner, South Caucasus
Size, 605cm. x 110cm.
The charcoal-black field with stylised overall Afshan design of bold hooked palmettes, various angular floral motifs and split palmettes. In narrow meandering floral vine and outer narrow stripe.
Great and powerful design with well balanced colours. This runner has very good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this runner is in very good usable condition, excellent furnishing piece with unusual size, very long and narrow, sought after on the market.
